- Got a taste of the small sword in a four week workshop held at the Atlantic Theater, and learned about the other SAFD weapons at this year's March Madness stage combat weekend in Cincinnati . . . swords apparently sing when wielded correctly . . .

- Playing the role of Fujin Macduff in the off-Broadway run of Shogun Macbeth at the Julia Miles Theater with Pan Asian Repertory

October 2008
- Rehearsals for Shogun Macbeth, where I quickly realized how very much I love working with weapons.

September 2008
- Rehearsals then performances for the NY Anime Festival at the Jacob Javits Center where we gave audiences a sneak peak into some of the fight choreography we would be doing for Shogun Macbeth

July 2008
- First read through of Shogun Macbeth . . . and still in shock that I was going to get to be a part of this production . . .

June 30, 2008
- Signed up at NY Aikikai, and had my first class with one Sugano Shihan. . . and was lucky for my own nervous tendencies that I was unaware of the level of his international fame . . . he is a wonderful teacher . . .
